They are actually pretty heavy. The problem with driving them in the snow is mostly due to them being powerful rear wheel drive vehicles. Also wider tires are bad in the snow, hence why snow tires should be ordered thinner than what is normally on the vehicle. I do agree that driving the Z year round is not a great idea but it can be done, if one is careful.
